NUTS AND BOLTS

In exploring the subject we have also identified an obvious additional task – helping to bring about a change in the way we present and tour cultural activity – the nuts and bolts.  Venues, galleries, festivals, museums have grown thoughtlessly energy-intensive in the same way as the rest of our built environment and indeed society. TippingPoint has a critical role to play in helping to accelerate activity in mitigation and adaptation. To this end we are working in partnership with a range of cultural sector agencies to explore the routes, exemplars and needs of the industry so as to engender a collective commitment to changing practice and sharing both best practice and exploring enlightened solutions to the many challenges that a change is practice will pose.

A forthcoming event on 4th March is by invitation only but do contact us if you would like information on the outcomes of this event and further information on a larger gathering of the cultural sector in Autumn 08.
