Alison Clark-Jenkins
Alison is the Arts Council Regional Director in the North East, and works across the region, the north and nationally. Alison has a first degree in English Literature, professional qualifications in education and marketing, and is currently studying for her MBA. Originally from the North East, she began her career as a teacher of English and Drama. Alison subsequently moved on to manage arts projects in Liverpool and Nottingham. During her time at Arts Council England, she has developed a range of cross-sector collaborative working programmes and helped to create beacons of best practice in creative and cultural sector collaboration across the north east. Outside of work she is a keen writer/blogger (artsandeveryone.posterous.com), runner and competitive rower.
