Amanda Thomson
Amanda Thomson has a 1st class BA(hons) from Glasgow School of Art and an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her creative practice fuses printmaking, photography, video, sound and installation. She’s currently doing an arts-practice led, interdisciplinary PhD investigating ideas of becoming familiar, in the context of some of the forests and landscapes of the north. It includes ethnographic fieldwork with foresters, ecologists and others who work in these landscapes.
