I have worked for Newcastle City Council for the past 7 years engaging local disengaged communities in cultural activity. These projects have involved working with artists from every field of the arts such as drama, visual art, radio, sculpture, singing, parades, festivals, drumming, these projects often have an issue agenda attached to them such as teenage pregnancy, sustainability, mental health. These projects have also included experts from non arts fields such as science, public transport, health, social services amongst many others.rnI am always looking for new partners and groups to work with to find creative ways to engage people into issues serious or fun!
