Claire Malcolm

Claire has been the Director of New Writing North, the writing development agency for the North of England, since it began in 1996. For NWN she oversees writer development activities including the annual Northern Writers’ Awards, alongside the management and production of residencies, publications and events. She leads the programming and production of the annual Durham Book Festival. Claire is a board member for Hexham Book Festival, Designed and Made and Wunderbar Festival. She is Literature Advisor for Creative Scotland.
