Hugh Clear Hill

Having previously worked in environmental/ planning consultancy and as a senior lecturer in environmental management at the University of Sunderland, I joined Northumberland County Council in 2004 where I am responsible for managing the Council’s environmental sustainabilty programme. This involves work with all council sevices and also a lot of activity with partner organisations across Northumberland and the wider north east. Away from the day job, I am a trustee of the Tyne Rivers Trust and an independent member of the Northumbria Regional Flood and Coastal Committee. I am lucky enough to live in rural Northumberland in a house with a wind turbine, solar PV and a heat pump - and to spend my free time with my family walking, sailing, kayaking and fishing.
