My background in woven textiles informs and influences my thinking and making processes; spinning, weaving and collaborative activities. While ‘Slow Making’ underlies all the actions, the nature and outcome of my work can be very varied. Walking, weaving, conversations, tracing connections between people and places; finding overlaps in time and place between the human and non-human. I aim to explore relationships before construction of work. The focus is often waterways and shorelines, fragile edges physically and psychologically.
