Jeet Varia

My undergraduate degree was Chemical Engineering carried out in Bath. I worked as a research and development engineer at BOC Clevedon, North Somerset before moving to Newcastle in 2007 to start my PHD looking at advanced electrochemical, microbiological and bioelectrochemical processes for metal ion remediation from aqueous effluents. Presently I am a Post Doc research scientist working in the electrochemical and nanomaterial group (CEAM) looking at the development of titanium alloy bone implants. I have a keen passion for culture, music and art and have always aimed to collaborate in any way possible the science and arts.
