Jess Allen
I am an independent dance artist, living in a yurt on an off-grid farm in rural Herefordshire. Originally a biologist I gained a degree and PhD before re-training in dance, latterly at Coventry University where I gained an MA with distinction. I now combine work as a landscape officer (Worcester), dance lecturer (Bristol), performer and dance maker. My work, rooted in dance, live art and film, engages directly with issues of sustainability and climate change, through my interests in walking practice, landscape, memory and physical endurance.
