John Appleby

At Newcastle University since 1984 and Head of Mechanical Engineering since 2003. We have focussed particularly on areas such as energy, transport, and healthcare. I believe in supporting, encouraging and trusting staff, building consensus around planned changes so we move forward together. I also have a personal interest in environmental issues including supporting the local car club (pay as you go car hire) as a local councillor, professionally and personally. Our School also sponsors the NE Greenpower competition for schools.
