Mark Calvert
Mark is Creative Associate at Northern Stage in Newcastle. In a former life he used to be an actor. His credits include: An Oak Tree, Great Expectations, 1984, Dumb Waiter, Glengarry Glen Ross, Romeo and Juliet, A Clockwork Orange and Son of Man. Mark made his professional directorial debut in 2008 with The Goblin Who Saved Christmas. He has since directed Happiness, This Sceptred Isle, The Prince and The Penguin, The Little Boy Who Lost the Morning, Walpurgisnacht and Dennis Kelly’s Taking Care of Baby. Mark is Creative Associate at Northern Stage and runs the Creative Residency programme.
