Sandy Irvine
Sandy Irvine is Chair of Newcastle Green Party. Now retired, he spent 35 years teaching in Further Education. Sandy has considerable experience of the media as a writer and magazine editor. He was an associate editor of The Ecologist magazine for several years and has appeared on both TV & radio. He remains an active researcher, writer and political activist. The film journal Splice has published a number of articles by him, including one on film representations of ecology and environmental issues. He was also co-author of a book A Green Manifesto and served on the first elected national executive of the Green Party.
