Tim Sharpe
A graduate of Dundee and Strathclyde Universities, Dr. Sharpe has both practice and research experience in a number of fields, including user participation, environmental design and sustainability. After his PhD he worked as an architect for a tenant managed Community Technical Aid Centre, on housing and design and rehabilitation projects, and developed further expertise in energy related technical issues, user participation, environmental and low energy design and sustainability. More recent work has focussed on the use of low energy design and renewables in relation to housing refurbishment and current work includes investigations into the affects of occupancy in housing in terms of energy efficiency, health and wellbeing. He is now a Reader in Environmental Architecture, Head of Architectural Technology at the Mackintosh School of Architecture and Director of the Mackintosh Environmental Architecture Research Unit (MEARU).
