Aether & Hemera have been appointed as Lead artists to deliver an Art Strategy for two new cycling and walking routes in Blyth and Bedlington, presenting a series of innovative designs that aim to enliven the cycling and walking experience and create new focal points along the routes.

Touring Blyth and Bedlington for two months on a red Art Tricycle, Aether & Hemera distributed custom Art Postcards in public libraries, bicycle shops, leisure and sports centres and invited local people to post their ideas in a specially designed mobile post box.

Collaborating with Sustrans team the aim of the project was to engage with the local community for promoting the ‘Cycling Culture’.
